The Child Care Center at Lakeshore Technical College is getting a high rating from the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.
YoungStar, the quality rating and improvement system used by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families to rate-regulated childcare providers, gives the center five stars.
YoungStar rates providers every two years based on staff education and training, learning environment and curriculum, business and professional practices, and children’s health and well-being.
The Child Care Center at Lakeshore Technical College provides care for children ages 2 to 6 years whose parents are students or staff at Lakeshore or area residents.
There are 18 children enrolled this semester.
