Milwaukee’s police and fire chiefs are ensuring that access around Fiserv won’t be entirely restricted during the upcoming Republican National Convention.
Police Chief Jeffrey Norman stated yesterday that they are finalizing security details, outlining a zone roughly between Cherry Street to the north, Clybourn Street to the south, Water Street to the east, and 10th Street to the west.
Specifics regarding the restricted area will be decided in the spring.
Milwaukee Fire Chief Aaron Lipski added that despite heightened security, residents and workers within the security zone will still have the ability to commute.
Milwaukee is set to host the RNC in July.
