The Sheboygan County Historical Society has gotten a donation from Z&N Machine Company.
The Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation says an $8,000 check was donated to society as a part of a yearly campaign from the company.
Since 2013, Z&N has created a contribution fund, which is funded by its employees with a percentage of paychecks.
The company matches dollar for dollar contributed by the employees. Although Z & N Machine only has 5 to 7 employees, the company has donated a total of $76,000 to various charitable causes to date.
President Early Ney says he got the idea from the TV show “Secret Millionaire,” which featured a millionaire who teamed up with a local non-profit and decided where to give money.
Z&N has also given to the Salvation Army of Sheboygan, Meals on Wheels, and the Boys & Girls Club.
