Bernice DeWitt, age 86 of Two Rivers, died peacefully at her residence early Friday morning, December 15, 2023 after a lengthy battle with cancer, with her daughters at her side.
She is survived by her two daughters & sons-in-law, Vicki and Chris Suettinger of Two Rivers, Julie and Dave Capraro of Mishicot; four grandchildren: Robert (Karen) Kutil, Rebecca (James) Frenz, Brett Kutil (Shawna), Kaylee (Michael) Gresl, and one step-grandson, Eian; along with her great-grandchildren: Kiana, Kylia, Wyatt, Emma, Maya, and Millie. She is further survived by two god-children: Robin Huempfner and Mary Beth Lannbrecht; her twin sister, Beatrice (Kenneth) Geiger of Brillion; her special friend, Don Oestreich of Two Rivers; and brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Patsy DeWitt, Donald (Pat) DeWitt, Dennis (Ann) DeWitt; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Luke DeWitt; and a brother-in-law, Seraphin (Snooker) DeWitt.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2023 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Rev. Dave Pleier will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Friday from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
