Two of Wisconsin’s largest healthcare organizations are merging. Froedtert Health and ThedaCare have finalized their agreement to come together as one organization.
With the launch of the combined health system, Froedtert Health President and CEO Cathy Jacobson will initially assume the role of CEO, and ThedaCare President and CEO Imran A. Andrabi, MD, FAAFM, will serve as president.
After a six-month transition period, Jacobson will retire from the organization, and Dr. Andrabi will assume the role.
Jacobson said that the merger will allow the organizations to “continue to strengthen local health care,” while Dr. Andrabi called it “the beginning of an inspired future for health care in Wisconsin.”
The combined health system will officially launch on January 1st.
Additional updates to the merger will be posted at WICareWIRoots.com.
