A Manitowoc man has officially been charged after he allegedly tried to steal an energy drink and a couple of vape pens from a Manitowoc gas station.
33-year-old Lukas Schroeder was arrested Friday evening at the Mini Mart Citgo at 50 Maritime Drive.
He is free on a $3000 recognizance bond after appearing in Manitowoc Circuit Court.
Officers spoke to a clerk at the store and checked security footage, which showed him pocketing the vapes and energy drink and attempting to pay for them with, according to Schroeder, a chip in his arm.
He was also found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, along with a concealed knife.
Schoreder’s next court appearance will be on January 8th.
