Students from Valders High School are going to help around Manitowoc County today (December 22nd).
Principal David Schmid says the school has a Sources of Strength group, which planned a day of service in the morning, and students are going to over a dozen different places in the community to give back.
He says this comes as a good time after the recent passing of a junior at high school, so he hopes it can help bring healing.
Schmid says students will go to the area fire department, the choir and band will play at nursing homes, some students will go to the local humane society, some will be ringing bells at five different places, and there will also be a stop at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum.
The students will end the day at a food pantry.
