John Bell, the director of Acuity territory, was honored with the 2023 Buford C. McIntosh Company Person of the Year Award by Big I Kentucky, the state’s premier insurance trade association.
This award is bestowed upon individuals who have shown unwavering support for Big I Kentucky and its member agencies, and who exemplify customer service, integrity, and perseverance.
The award recognizes those who have made a significant impact on their clients and have improved the insurance industry as a whole.
Bell is looked highly upon in the insurance agency, the President and CEO of Big I Kentucky said “John Bell has been honored with this prestigious award in recognition of his unwavering dedication to the insurance industry. As a long-time supporter of Big I Kentucky, his commitment and service as a steward have significantly contributed to the improvement of the insurance landscape for member agents throughout Kentucky. John joined Acuity in 2013 as a Commercial Field Underwriter, bringing with him over 2 decades of industry experience in underwriting and sales.
In 2017, he was promoted to territory director and has been supervising the production activities of agencies in Acuity’s Kentucky and southern Ohio regions.
He holds prestigious designations including CPCU, CIC, and TRIP. The award is named after Buford C. McIntosh, a staunch supporter of Big I Kentucky and its member agencies.
Buford, who spent many years with Central/Kentucky National Insurance Companies, was known for his disbelief in the integrity and perseverance of agencies of all sizes.
