The results from the Seehafer News Giving Tree have been announced, and the big winners are the cats, but by a technicality.
According to Jenny Kanieski, the organizer of the fundraiser, 176 items were collected for dogs, and 204 items were collected for cats.
Technically, the dogs had a bigger volume, but since we didn’t count ounces of food and there were other small packages for the cats, the cats won.
In addition to those items for Sandi Paws Rescue, $500 in cash and checks were collected during the drive, which is way more than in previous years.
