Candidates who want a seat on the Manitowoc Common Council have filed their paperwork.
Four seats in four districts are up for election, with District 4 incumbent Jim Brey, who will face off against Daniel Heilman.
In District 6, it will be Incumbent Eric Sitkiewitz running against Collin Braunel.
Incumbent Bill Schlei in District 8 will run against Bradley Barnes.
In District 9, Incumbent Steve Czekala will face off against Brett Norell.
District 5 is a little different because Incumbent Darian Kaderabek has filed for non-candidacy, meaning she won’t run for her seat, so it will belong to William J. DeBaets because he is the only candidate who filed nomination papers.
There is also one person who’s filed nomination papers for a municipal judge seat, and that is Steven Olson.
Manitowoc City Clerk Mackenzie Reed will have a public drawing next Tuesday (January 9th) at 8 am at the city clerk’s office in City Hall for the arrangement of names on the ballot for the April 2024 Spring Election.
