An infant is dead in Outagamie County, and authorities are trying to figure out why.
Outagamie County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a home on Liberty Lane in the Town of Freedom at around 9:30 Saturday morning (January 6th) on a report of a child not breathing.
Deputies and EMS administered aid and took the infant to a local hospital, however the child did not recover.
The family is said to be cooperating with investigators, but it is not clear what led up to the infant not breathing.
The investigation is expected to take several weeks to complete.
