The City of Manitowoc has announced a “limited” pickup of snow in the immediate downtown area this weekend.
A news release states that it will take place after midnight on both Saturday and Sunday. Guidelines that must be followed are that the snow must be pushed to the top of the curb into the parking lane of the street before midnight each day, and do not push snow in front of your business along the parking lane into large piles.
Please break them down into several small ones. You are not allowed to push snow in front of another business, and it’s against city ordinances to remove snow from your private parking lot into the street.
A full downtown snow pickup is scheduled to take beginning at 12 a.m. Monday morning, weather conditions permitting.
