A local library is looking to educate the public on the local foliage.
On Thursday, February 1st, at 6:00 p.m., there will be an event at the Lester Public Library about enhancing ecosystems by using native plants.
Nancy Gill, a former science teacher and current board member of Conservation Education Inc., will share tips on how to use native trees, shrubs, and plants in your own garden and yard.
She also writes a column for the Valders Journal titled “On the Marsh.”
The meeting point for the event is the library’s fireplace, and it will be hosted by the Two Rivers Environmental Advisory Board.
