The Two Rivers Police Department’s K9 is okay after an accident.
The police department reports that on January 14th, K9 Xanti was hit by a car while off duty and was taken to an emergency veterinary service in Appleton for care.
He appears to have only suffered minor abrasions and soreness but has no internal injuries or broken bones.
He will be watched closely and will have follow-up appointments with his local veterinarian.
The driver of the vehicle who hit Xanti was uninjured.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the hit and report it to the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office.
