The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is dawning a new temporary exhibit.
Starting this Saturday (January 20th), the feature titled “Water Dance: A Painter’s Pilgrimage” will be displayed.
The project is the result of a multi-year, visionary collaboration with artists Bonnita Budysz and Robert Theaker to explore Wisconsin’s waterways.
The pair have spent their time traversing water life by canoeing, hiking, and painting on the water.
The exhibit presents 40 of their pieces that “showcase and celebrate the story of water in northeast Wisconsin,” with select pieces matched with historical stories from partners.
At 1:30 on the day of the debut, the artists will give a presentation on their work at the Riverside Gallery.
The project will run until September 2nd.
Admission is included with regular Museum admission, which can be purchased in person or online at WisconsinMaritime.org.
