The Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve is calling kid campers this summer.
Between June and August in Suamico, the preserve is offering two summer camps for two different age ranges.
The first, called Barkhausen’s Wild Child Summer Camp, is open to children ages 5-9.
The program of 4 half days features catching critters in a wetland, going on nature hikes, scavenger hunts, crafting, and more. This program costs $90.
The second program, named Barkhausen’s Adventure Summer Camp, is aimed at children ages 10-13.
The program is offered in two individual sessions where campers will explore the woods and wetlands, play outdoor games, and put their survival skills to the test.
This program costs $60.
Registration for both camps opens January 22nd, and spots are limited.
