Could three murder suspects in Green Bay be tried together?
That is what the prosecution is looking to do in the case of Gustavo Cantu, Alejandro Cantu, and Jacob Ventura.
The trio are all facing charges in the death of Randall Denny in April of 2022. Investigators believe the three men had met with Denny at the intersection of Perkins Avenue and Western Avenue for a drug deal, which went poorly.
Each man currently has cases before different judges, but motions have been filed in each case to have them combined into one.
In their motion, the state noted that more than 50 identical witnesses would be called up in each case.
The combination of the cases would ensure the courts are not taking up more of their time than necessary and would save taxpayers money.
As of now, the defense attorneys for all three men have not issued a response.
