A cross country and track and field athlete at Reedsville High School will continue his running career in The Last Frontier.
Hunter Taddy announced on his Facebook page that he has committed to compete in both sports at the University of Alaska Anchorage, where he will also pursue a degree in Real Estate and Property Management.
In his statement, Taddy thanked his coaches and teammates but has also given a lot of credit to his father, Mike Taddy.
In a recruitment letter, he contributed his mental toughness to Mike who served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force.
He also said in that letter, “My work ethic and my relentless need to succeed will always set me apart and propel me to the places I want to be,” a mindset that could give him a leg up as he begins his career as a Seawolf.
