An Iron County man convicted in Alabama for homicide is now being charged in a Green Bay homicide.
24-year-old Caleb Anderson was extradited back to Wisconsin from Alabama to face first-degree intentional homicide charges in the death of 65-year-old Patrick Earnest, who was found dead in his apartment in 2022.
According to WLUC TV in Upper Michigan, Anderson found Earnest through an app called Grinder, a smartphone app used by men for casual hookups.
He said he didn’t want to have sex but rather thought it would be a quick way to find a victim to kill.
He pleaded guilty to killing 52-year-old Dwight Dixon in Escambia County in Alabama and was sentenced to life in prison down there.
His first appearance in Brown County Court was held yesterday.
