Lorraine M. Stenzel, age 79, a Valders resident, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay.
She was born May 4, 1944, daughter of the late William and Laurina (Nass) Zutz Sr. Lorraine attended Valders High School, graduating with the class of 1962. On March 28, 1964, she married Walter Stenzel Jr. at Grace Lutheran Church, Valders. Lorraine was employed with Leverenz Shoe Company, Valders, as well as Bernie’s Supper Club (later C.C. Willows), Valders. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Lorraine enjoyed cooking, doing puzzles, and taking trips to the casino. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Lorraine is survived by her husband: Walter Stenzel Jr.; her son and daughter-in-law: Terry and Karen Stenzel; her daughter and son-in-law: Tammy and Dennis Karstaedt; four grandchildren: Stephanie (Ted) Wagner, Justin Stenzel, Lauren Stenzel (special friend Zachary Zepnick), and Emma Karstaedt; one great-granddaughter: Iris Wagner, and baby Wagner due in June; one brother: William (Elaine) Zutz Jr.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Carol Zutz, Chuck (Darlene) Stenzel, Bill (Laurie) Stenzel, Jim (Sue) Stenzel, Dick Lodel, and Nancy Baumann; and her faithful companion: Hannah. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Aubrey (Gladys) Zutz, Annabelle (Thomas) Ebenhoe, Orlan (Laverne) Zutz, Teddy Zutz, and Marlene (Luther) Cook; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Walter and Florence Stenzel Sr., brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: David Stenzel, Geraldine (Lloyd) Free, Edward (Elaine) Stenzel, Elmer (Carol) Stenzel, and Joyce Lodel as well as other relatives and friends.
Private family services have been held and Lorraine was laid to rest at Valders West Cemetery, Valders.
