An Oshkosh man is heading to prison in connection to physically abusing a 2-month-old child
A report from WBAY TV in Green Bay says Michael Ormond was sentenced to 7 years in prison plus five years of extended supervision after the baby was brought to a hospital last year with bruising over his body and a brain bleed.
The criminal complaint says after a social worker told police about the injuries, Ormond admitted to wanting to hurt the child since it was brought home from the hospital.
He also said that the baby’s crying triggered him to do some of the violent things he did and caused him to get a “runner’s high.”
Ormand pleaded no contest to child abuse causing great bodily harm and child abuse with the intention to cause harm.
