The Manitowoc Lincoln girls basketball team ended their regular season with a thunderous boom as they took down Sheboygan South 84-36 on Senior Night.
The Ships carried a 44-23 lead into halftime and then shut down the Redwings, allowing only 13 points in the second half.
It was a total team effort on the offensive side of the court, with four players reaching double figures and eleven shooters scoring at least one basket.
Senior Grace Fruzen and Freshman Brianna Breese led all scorers with 17 points, while fellow first-year player Kendal Schmitz had 13, and senior Laurin Hamann added 12.
In fact, all of the seniors on the team scored multiple baskets, with Morgan Dietrich netting 7, Natalie Lehman tallying 5, and Nena Swoboda adding 4.
With the regular season in the books, the Ships set their compasses for Divine Savior Holy Angels.
The two squads will face off next Friday (February 23rd) as a part of the Regional round of the WIAA state tournament.
