It was a packed house at Lancer Circle last night (February 19th) as the Roncalli Jets took on Manitowoc Lutheran.
Damon Ryan called the game on 107.9 FM WOMT and called it a “dandy of a game” as the Jets upset the Lancers 60-48. Roncalli came to play, pulling ahead 28-16 at the break, but the Lancers charged back in the second half.
The Jets pulled ahead 37-17 lead before the Lancers went on a 20-0 run to tie it all back up.
However, Aiden Jergenson snapped the streak with a three-ball, which put all the momentum back with the Jets as they held off to take the 12-point win.
Matthew Bonin led the Jets with 18 points, but Dominick Frozena wasn’t far behind, scoring 17, while Donovan Cowley added 14.
Only one player finished in double figures for the Lancers, as Derek Laabs accounted for 15 of his team’s points.
Roncalli, now at 12-11 on the season, will end the regular season at Valders this Thursday (February 22nd) while the Lancers travel to Ozaukee that same night.
