A Manitowoc man facing multiple charges in a years-long abuse case has been officially charged with Possession of Child Pornography.
32-year-old Jeffrey J. Nord appeared in Manitowoc County Circuit Court Monday, where bail was set at $5,000 cash.
Nord was taken into custody earlier this month for allegedly physically abusing his girlfriend for seven years.
The two got into a physical altercation on February 11th when she told Nord to quit looking at his phone. She said he had been looking at Facebook pages of children, although nothing illegal had occurred.
Police then discovered a total of 190 listed contacts, including an image of a young girl and two boys, as well as other child abuse and child abuse sexual material.
Conditions of bail are that Nord has “no contact” with anyone under the age of 18 and does not possess any internet-enabled device. An initial appearance is scheduled for February 26th at 1:30.
Meanwhile, additional charges have been filed in his physical abuse case.
They now include Three counts of Disorderly Conduct and three counts of simple battery, all with domestic violence enhancers, and three counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
Bail remains at $1,000 cash. Nord remains in The County Jail with an initial appearance in this matter scheduled for March 11th at 1:30.
