The Two Rivers Police Department is releasing some information after not answering questions during a Wednesday evening press conference about 3-year-old Elijah Vue, who is still considered missing.
Police Chief Ben Meinnert says he understands that there are a lot of emotions involving the ongoing search and that they are still working closely with state and federal agencies to find Elijah, who’s been missing for three days.
He also says the press conference was to give facts and dispel rumors as well as to let you know that factual information is only coming from TRPD.
The Facebook post continues to say that they are exploring all possibilities to locate Elijah and are asking residents to continue to check their property for any items that don’t belong to them, including a red, white, and black plaid blanket or a dinosaur-printed shoe and check home surveillance.
As we reported Thursday afternoon, Elijah’s mother, Katrina Baur, and another person involved named Jesse Vang, have been arrested and could face charges of child neglect.
Meinnert finishes the press release by saying that Two Rivers Police will continue to update everyone on the search for Elijah as soon as they are able to and thanks everyone who’s assisted in looking for him.
