Two Rivers Police Chief Ben Meinnert is again thanking residents for their help in searching for 3-year-old Elijah Vue.
In an update on their Facebook page, Meinnert says he, unfortunately, has not been located yet, and they are continuing to follow tips and leads, search local rivers, use drones in areas, and have teams of officers and agents on foot continue to search, including at a landfill, which some other media outlets showed was happening earlier this week.
He also says police do appreciate everyone’s joint concern and dedication to finding Elijah but would like to remind people to respect others’ private property and will have law enforcement in uniform and/or have proper law enforcement agency identification at the local, state, and federal levels.
The investigation continues around Two Rivers but also now includes the city of Wisconsin Dells, where we found out that Katrina Baur, Elijah’s mother, lived before she apparently brought him to Jesse Vang, who lives in a TR apartment on Mishicot Rd.
Some have been donating food for the cause and want to make sure you call the Two Rivers Police Office at 920-793-1191 to schedule it so they can prevent food waste.
Meinnert finishes reminding residents that TRPD is the factual source and will continue to update the community as timely as they can.
