An annual event for a mental health organization is returning in May.
Painting Pathways Plant and Brat sale allows the clubhouse to keep helping people recover from mental illness.
Executive Director Brian Portzen says a recent expansion in their backyard created a garden space from which people might be able to pick up the plants for this year’s event.
The unique part is how the food is paid for. Portzen says donations will allow attendees to purchase food like a brat or hamburger for the fundraiser.
He also says the event always brings the community together.
“Places like Painting Pathways aren’t in a lot of cities the size of Manitowoc,” he explained. “Those are usually big cities that have programs like that, so I greatly appreciate it. All of us appreciate the support.”
The clubhouse is located at 1226 Washington Street in Manitowoc.
The sale takes place on Saturday, March 30th, from 11:00 to 5:00 p.m., with the proceeds returning to Painting Pathways.
