The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection is currently open to receiving nominations for eight director positions on the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin board. Interested parties have, from March 1st to March 30th, 2024, to submit their nominations.
The elections will cover various districts, including the one covering Calumet and Manitowoc counties.
DFW directors oversee financial decisions, policy creation, and strategic planning and uphold the organization’s mission to support and promote the state’s dairy industry.
To be eligible for nomination, candidates must be active dairy producers who market their milk commercially and reside in one of the specified districts.
Nomination forms, which DATCP is distributing, require the applicant’s signature, a notary’s seal, and the support of at least five other dairy producers.
The completed forms must be sent back by the March 30th deadline.
Further details and nomination materials are accessible online or by request via email.
DATCP will hold the elections from May 1st to May 24th following the nomination period.
