The WIAA Girls Basketball Sectional champions will be crowned today (March 2nd), and a Division 1 champion will be determined in Manitowoc.
Manitowoc Lincoln’s JFK Fieldhouse will play host to the Section 2 finale between top-seeded Brookfield East and #3 Hartford at 1:30 p.m.
Also in Division 1, #1 Hortonville will take on #3 Neenah at Appleton East, #1 Oregon will be at home taking on #2 Arrowhead, and Kenosha Bradford will host a matchup between top-seeded Muskego and #2 Franklin.
In Division 2, all four number-one seeds made it to the sectional finals. Notre Dame will be battling Menomonie at Wausau East, Bever Dam and Pewaukee will square off in Watertown, Baraboo will host the finale between West Salem and McFarland, while Union Grove and Wausau East will be in Whitefish Bay.
The Division 3 finals feature six number 1 seeds and a pair of second-seeded squads. Baldwin-Woodville and Elk Mound will be in Amery, while Brillion will be hosting Xavier and  Wittenberg-Birnamwood.
Meanwhile, Edgewood will try to knock off another #1 seed in Waupon as they square off in Evansville, and Kettle Moraine Lutheran will be the underdog for the first time in the tournament as they take on Catholic Memorial in Brown Deer.
In Division 4, McDonell Catholic and Fall Creek, both #1 seeds, will do battle at Eau Claire North, while it will be a battle of #2 seeds in Kimberly as Laconia squares off with Sheboygan Lutheran.
Also, top-seeded Neillsville and #2 Cuba City will be in Wisconsin Dells, while The Prairie School will put their #1 seed on the line against #2 Winnebago Lutheran.
In Division 5, Hudson will be the site of the battle between #1 Clear Lake and #2 Own-Withee, while #1 Lena and #2 Pittsville square off in Antigo.
The top seeds in the other brackets made it to the finale, with Cochrane-Fountain City and Argyle/Pecatonica squaring off in Portage, while Hartford Union is the site of the Albany/Monticello and Assumption matchup.
The state tournament will begin this coming Thursday at the Resch Center in Green Bay with the Division 3 semi-finals.
