Registration is now open for Manitowoc’s first parade of the year. The Memorial Day Parade will be on Monday, May 27th, beginning at 9:00 am, starting on 8th and Washington Streets and ending on 18th Street.
The Memorial Day Ceremony will immediately follow the parade and will be held at the Veteran’s Memorial on 18th Street across from Evergreen Cemetery.
The Veteran’s group, which assists in the organization of the parade, would like to remind registrants that the purpose of the Memorial Day parade is to honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. Military and is not a celebratory parade.
It’s meant to be done in a respectful, patriotic, and honorable way.
