The DATCP has announced the names of the six finalists in the running for the esteemed role of the 77th Alice in Dairyland.
The shortlisted individuals are Cierra Essock, Halei Heinzel, Katrina Hoesly, Michaela King, Kiley Pagel, and Lauren Siemers, who have all successfully navigated through the initial application and interview phase.
These candidates will now embark on a two-month period of intense evaluation that will test their abilities in communication and public relations, skills imperative for the position of Alice in Dairyland.
They will undergo training in media relations and public speaking, culminating in the attainment of a marketing and communications certificate from the DATCP.
The process will reach its end at the Alice in Dairyland Finals on May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in Door County, featuring a comprehensive itinerary that includes agricultural business tours, press interviews, a spontaneous Q&A session, and individual candidate presentations.
The event will conclude with the announcement of the Stone Harbor Report in Sturgeon Bay.
The newly appointed Alice in Dairyland will assume her duties on July 8th, 2024.
