It was a record-breaking year for the CP Telethon.
According to WBAY TV, $1,469,772 was raised to beat last year’s record with CP Executive Director John Syndergaard saying it takes a village to do what they do.
Around 8:00 a.m. Sunday, people from different banks, credit unions, healthcare providers, and law enforcement gave up their day for a good cause to raise money to help people with disabilities.
Syndergaard says four key programs are the Delta Service program, aquatics program, childcare program, and pediatric therapy and with breaking a record previously of the longest-running national telethon, all the money raised was done here locally.
CP has been serving northeast Wisconsin for more than 70 years and reaches more than 2,100 infants, children, and adults throughout the area in Green Bay, Two Rivers, Kimberly, and Suamico.
