A local assemblyman has announced his bid for another term in Madison.
2nd District Representative Shae Sortwell is announcing his reelection campaign.
He says he’s “been so proud and honored to represent the voters of northern Manitowoc and Southern Brown Counties for the last 5 years and while it is heartbreaking to lose De Pere and Two Rivers in the new district map, I am heartened to again represent the people of Ledgeview, Denmark, New Denmark, Rockland, Francis Creek, Kossuth, Kellnersville and Franklin whom I represented from 2019 to 2023 but lost in the previous redistricting.”
“I look forward to meeting all the great people in the rest of the new district.”
He finishes the statement by saying he has a proven track record of authoring and passing bills on election integrity, tax deductions, medical privacy, and cutting government red tape.
This will be his fourth time running for the Wisconsin Assembly.
