Bail is set at $3,000 recognizance for a 66-year-old Two Rivers man who recently appeared for a bail hearing in Manitowoc County Circuit Court on an Operating While Intoxicated-Sixth Offense charge.
Gregory L. Hoida is also charged with five counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
Manitowoc Police say that Hoida was the driver of one of two cars involved in an accident late Monday afternoon at the corner of South 35TH and Dewey Streets.
A witness said that Hoida didn’t stop for a stop sign, and when speaking to police, they said he had bloodshot eyes, heavily slurred speech, and was stumbling while walking around.
A K-9 search of Hoida’s vehicle uncovered an unused glass smoking device.
He was taken to Holy Family Memorial, where he failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
Conditions of bail are that Hoida has “no contact” with any known drug dealers or users, does not possess any controlled substance unless prescribed, and must maintain “absolute sobriety.”
Hoida’s initial appearance is scheduled for March 25th at 1:30.
