Additional details about the relationship between two people arrested in connection to the disappearance of Elijah Vue have come to light.
WISN TV in Milwaukee reports that Katrina Baur, the mother of the 3-year-old, had accused Jesse Vang and Elijah’s father, Jimmy Vue, of using her as a prostitute at a hotel in Appleton.
She later asked the police to stop investigating as she was “with Jimmy” and that he would take care of the situation.
Vang was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Human Trafficking and 2nd Degree Sexual Assault.
However, the charges were dropped as Vang was indicted in federal court and was detained in Minnesota.
Jimmy has been incarcerated in the Oshkosh Correctional Institute since 2023.
Katrina allegedly sent her son to Vang’s Two Rivers home in mid-February for what Manitowoc County District Attorney Jackie LaBre called “disciplinary purposes.”
It is not clear when the nature of Katrina and Jesse’s relationship changed.
