The Manitowoc Public School District and Manitowoc Lincoln Baseball are looking to make some major changes to Municipal Field.
Superintendent Jim Feil said on the WCUB Breakfast Club last week that the district will have a special meeting this Thursday to talk about the condition of the field, which he said is in disrepair and hasn’t been maintained or updated.
The team wants to collaborate to update the property by adding new bleachers, backstops, a public address sound system, bathrooms, a concession stand, field turf, lighting, and off-the-field walking surfaces.
The team is looking to raise about $3.8 million for the project.
