As the search for 3-year-old Elijah Vue continues, nearby citizens have not given up hope.
Especially Two Rivers citizen Yolanda Godfrey who has been out on the hunt for Elijah even before the Amber Alert went off back on February 19th.
Godfrey attended Katrina Baur’s court hearing on the afternoon of March 22nd and plans to return for Baur’s next hearing.
Godfrey explained to Seehafer News how she found out about missing Elijah.
“I just got out of work and was sitting in my chair, and I saw on Facebook that a 3-year-old little boy was missing,” Godfrey explained. “The Amber Alert didn’t actually come up until I was actually out searching”.
Godfrey, along with many other concerned citizens, have been doing their part to find Elijah by searching consistently over the past month.
Godfrey said she has been at every court hearing so far and plans on being at the rest.
“I want the truth,” she said bluntly. “You’re not going to find it on the internet, you’re not going to find it on the streets, you’re going to find it right here, where the facts are. With law enforcement doing their job and doing what they need to do, this is where you’re going to find out. I need to be here.”
Godfrey along with many other citizens plan to attend Baur’s next court hearing on April 26th at 8:30 a.m.
