A major road construction project in Brown County began yesterday.
The section of Lineville Road, which runs east to west on the north side of the Village of Howard, between Belmont Road and Velp Road, is set to be expanded to four lanes with a 12-foot asphalt, multi-use trail.
This stretch of roadway is used quite often by Brown County motorists, and the expansion is expected to help relieve some of the traffic slowdowns experienced in that area.
WBAY reports that the project will take about two years to complete at a cost of nearly $10 million.
