Richardson Industries in Sheboygan County was discovered to be the oldest company in Wisconsin.
WTMJ reports that Richardson Industries has been up and running for the last 175 years, being officially established as a business in 1848, the same year Wisconsin became a state.
At this point, the United States was comprised of 30 states. Richardson Industries is a furniture, wall, flooring, and roof manufacturing company specializing in custom furniture and trusses.
They are made up of two companies: Richo Structures, which builds trusses for apartment buildings and single-family homes, and Richardson Contract Furniture, which crafts high-quality furniture for boardrooms, college lecture halls, and auditoriums.
The company’s reputation has allowed them to earn deals with the New York Yankees, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the White House.
