Susan M. Schuman, age 65, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away while surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.
Sue was born on May 22, 1958 in Manitowoc to the late Arthur and Florence (Connett) Schuman. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1976 and then obtained her certification as a CNA. Sue had worked at St. Mary’s Nursing Home in Manitowoc for 10 years until health issues forced her to retire. She was an active volunteer for many years at an adult day center. Sue enjoyed being outside and taking walks. She was an avid book reader and liked doing crossword puzzles. Sue was accomplished in crocheting. Above all, she enjoyed spending her time with family, including Bella, the Dachshund.
Survivors include Sue’s two brothers, Greg Schuman and his significant other, Gen Dyzbalys, and Robert Schuman; two special nieces, Lynn Haese and Amy (Matt) Petersen; a grandniece who is pretty great, Emma Petersen; grandnephew, Austin Petersen; also other relatives. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Florence Schuman; brother, Michael Schuman; and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Schuman.

Sue’s family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the ICU staff at Aurora BayCare Medical Center (especially Cherie and Robyne) and Aurora At Home Hospice for all of the care, compassion, and help they provided.
