A 29-year-old homeless man faces multiple charges after being taken into custody following an incident at The Manitowoc Meijer Store late last week.
Jordan Zachary Hansen has been charged with Resisting an Officer, two counts of Obstructing an Officer, and Possession of Methamphetamine, A Schedule II Narcotic, A Non-Scheduled Drug, and Drug Paraphernalia.
Manitowoc Police responded to the business on South Rapids Road late last Friday night on a report of a man (Hansen) appearing to load a magazine for a gun.
Upon arrival, officers found Hansen pacing back and forth near the entrances and pulling on doors. He initially gave officers a false identity, eventually calling his uncle for a ride.
Hansen then chastised him for giving officers his real name, as there was a warrant out for his arrest. He originally resisted but was eventually taken to The County Jail without further incident.
The lone condition of bail is that Hansen maintains “absolute sobriety.” He remains in The County Jail on $500 cash bail with an initial appearance scheduled for April 1st at 1:30.
