Froedtert Health and ThedaCare are expanding in the Fox Valley.
The healthcare groups announced they will hold a groundbreaking on a new health campus in Oshkosh.
The planned campus aims to expand convenient access to care for those living in Northeast and Central Wisconsin.
This campus is different because it will be east of Interstate 41 where most healthcare is located to the west.
The healthcare groups say the plan also complements the community development efforts underway in the area being located on 6th Street and on the Fox River in the downtown area.
The new facility will be 85,000 square feet and will be an $84 million investment.
The hospital is expected to have emergency care, inpatient beds, and 24/7 coverage.
Plans also call for 24/7 Computed Tomography scans, x-rays, ultrasounds, mammograms, MRIs, and lab services.
