Paula A. Schneider, age 68, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the family residence with her husband by her side.
Paula was born on August 28, 1955 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marcella Karbon Balzan Sr. Paula attended Valders High School and graduated with the class of 1973. Paula also received an Associate Degree as a Pharmacy Technician in July 2004 and completed her study in Material Management/Health Care in July 2005 at Lakeshore Technical College. She was employed with Mirro Aluminum followed by employment at the Aurora Pharmacy in Sheboygan. On June 29, 1996 she married Gregory S. “Bear” Schneider at Wesley United Methodist Church in Manitowoc. Paula loved to knit and crochet and spend time with family in Door County. She was a big time Green Bay Packer fan and active with TJ’s Sports Bar Athletic Club.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Greg “Bear”, five children, Stephanie Schneider, Manitowoc, Clayton Wernecke, Manitowoc, Scott Schneider, Manitowoc, Lucas Wernecke, Las Vegas, NV, and Arnold (Karlee) Wernecke, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren, one sister, Lisa (Rick) Wetenkamp, Manitowoc, one sister-in-law, Connie Balzan, Manitowoc, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Marcella Balzan Sr. and two brothers, Anthnony Jr. and Ray Balzan.
A Life Celebration Social will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Paula’s cremated remains will be laid to rest at Knollwood Mausoleum.
