Manitowoc Public Utilities customers are reminded that the moratorium for disconnecting residential service ends on Monday, April 15th.
Customers are asked to review their billing statements as disconnection notices are printed on the front of billing statements.
It is imperative that arraignments, if eligible, are made to clear the past due amounts on or before April 15th.
It’s also possible that if a bill hasn’t been paid during the winter a security deposit might be required equal to the highest four consecutive bills to avoid disconnection.
Energy assistance is still accepting applications from income-qualified applicants by calling (833) 646-0823.
To find out if you are eligible for a payment arraignment, call MPU at (920) 683-4600 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
