Dennis L. Carter, age 69 of Two Rivers, passed away on Sunday March 31, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital, Milwaukee.
Dennis was born on August 5, 1954 in Manitowoc, son of the late Wilbur and Joyce (Blahnik) Carter. He attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated with the class of 1971 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Dennis then served in the United States Marine Corps. On September 14, 1985 Dennis married the former Julie M. Nooker in Manitowoc. He enjoyed reading, golfing, watching TV and going to the movies. Dennis was employed at Wisconsin Public Service for many years until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife: Julie Carter, Two Rivers; two children: Jessica Carter, Two Rivers, Jon Carter, Manitowoc; one step-daughter: Michelle Parczick, Green Bay; one sister: Rose Carter-Collins, TX; three brothers-in-law: Terry Thomas, Florence, Dennis (Marilyn) Nooker, Manitowoc, Ralph (Kay) Nooker, Mishicot; one sister-in-law: Donna Yelvington, Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Wilbur and Joyce Carter; one sister: Sandy Thomas; one brother-in-law: Donald Nooker, Jr.; two sisters-in-law: Diane and Darlene.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Peace United Church of Christ, Lakeshore Life Celebration Center, 3613 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate. Friends and family can call at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Military Honors will be accorded by American Legion Drews-Bleser Post #88 of Manitowoc.
