Allen A. Riesterer, age 72, of Manitowoc, died Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL.
Allen was born on January 20, 1952, in Two Rivers, a son of the late Arthur and Doris (Ringmeier) Riesterer. He attended Two Rivers Schools, graduating from Washington High School with the Class of 1970. On June 4, 1977, he married Roxanne Trinka at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Reedsville. Allen worked as a carpenter when he was younger, then was employed at Manitowoc Engineering Co. and more than 25 years with A.C.E. Building Service until his retirement. He most recently maintained recreational employment at Burger Boat Co. Allen was a lifetime member of West Shore Sportsman Club, a member of the Rockea Hunting Club, enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his Harley, but most of all enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Roxanne Riesterer; son: Ryan Riesterer of Manitowoc; daughters: Brooke Riesterer and Dana Riesterer of Milwaukee; he was lovingly referred to as “Beepa” by his grandchildren: Noah, Aubri, Breon, Alanna, Ryker and Briggs. He is further survived by his brother: Glenn (Joan) Riesterer of Heron, Montana; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister: Karen Spevacek, nephew: Todd Spevacek and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Frank Trinka, and Georgeen (Eugene) Tienor.
A funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3607 45th St., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. David Arndt with burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Reedsville.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 4:15 p.m.
