An exhibit on the “War to end all wars” is coming to the Manitowoc County Historical Society.
This coming June 1st and 2nd, anyone is welcome to explore the era of World War I and learn about the effect it had on Manitowoc County.
The event offers an opportunity to gain insight into the involvement of nations such as the United States, Britain, Germany, Russia, and the Ottoman Empire, with a focus on their pivotal roles during the war.
Visitors can explore camps representing these nations and engage in different experiences, from learning about wartime cuisines to exploring weaponry and gaining an understanding of the Red Cross’ contributions.
Attendees can also see a display area that focuses on Manitowoc County’s experience during World War I.
Individuals with family ties to the Great War can seize the opportunity to uncover details about their relatives’ involvement.
Tickets are available to pre-purchase or upon arrival.
Tickets are $14 for adults, $13 for senior citizens, $10 for youth ages 4-17, and anyone under the age of 4 can enter for free.
General admission is also free for members of the Manitowoc County Historical Society.
