An organization in Sheboygan County is one of 24 around the state to have been selected to receive a portion of over $370,000 in DNR stewardship grants.
The Friends of Kohler Andrae State Park will be using their portion of the money for phase three of their Beach Parking Lots Safety Path project.
In total, 29 projects are being funded by the money, which was approved by Governor Tony Evers’ State Building Commission.
The money comes from the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Fund, which was created in 1989 to preserve important natural communities, protect water quality and fisheries, and expand opportunities for outdoor recreation.
