There’s going to be a new exhibit coming to the Manitowoc Lincoln Park Zoo.
A new coastal wetland aviary will be built along the Little Manitowoc River in the zoo, according to Mayor Justin Nickels.
Features of the project will include boardwalks and bridges along the Little Manitowoc River for bird viewing, establishing a perched wetland with native plantings, outdoor classroom space, pollinator gardens, a new covered large bird exhibit, and interpretive signage.
The old fencing, the deer yard (abandoned in 2015), and the old waterfall will be removed.
