A Shawano man was arrested last week after he was caught with roughly a quarter of a pound of cocaine.
Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-41 near Winnebago Street due to multiple equipment and registration violations.
A 44-year-old man driving the vehicle was believed to be involved in criminal activity, so K-9 Ace was called to the scene. Ace conducted a sniff of the vehicle, which came back positive.
A subsequent search revealed the large bag of cocaine, a smaller amount of marijuana, and several boxes of ammunition.
The man, whose name was not released, was said to have previous drug convictions on his record and was booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail on drug-related charges.
